Job Level

About the role

  • Establish and maintain the overarching audio direction for the interactive experience, ensuring a cohesive blend of sfx, licensed tracks and user-generated content.
  • Attend, present and review work both in audio and software formats where appropriate. Provide written and face-to-face feedback on implemented works and prototypes to help align the project and deliver on the creative ambition.
  • Act as the primary creative bridge between the internal audio team (design and engineering) and the external film department to ensure visual and sonic alignment.
  • Present and defend creative concepts to external partners, IP holders, and other artists teams as it relates to the musical vision.
  • Manage the audio production lifecycle within Jira, ensuring that creative milestones, tasks, technical spikes and R&D are managed, reviewed and triaged effectively.
  • Oversee the development of interactive music systems that allow players to manipulate and remix stems in real-time alongside gestural inputs to create music which works in-sympathy with library-based remixes.
  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary audio team, translating high-level creative goals into actionable technical tasks and Jira tickets for sound design, technical sound and audio engineers.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading the audio/musical vision for high-profile games, interactive media, or innovative music-tech projects.
  • Strong understanding of both traditional film scoring/production and dynamic, state-based interactive music systems.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is preferred, as well as creating presentations, Miro boards, and documentation as required.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a history of managing and collaborating with brands and external stakeholders (both exec level and creatives), balancing both practical and scope discussions with creative solutions in-the-room.
  • Fluency in game audio implementation and a solid understanding of how engineering constraints can impact creative possibilities. You will have experience to balance economical decision making with creative ambition.
  • Strong ear for quality to identify and resolve quality issues with regard to key, mix, balance, blending, EQ sequencing and FX in order to deliver an exceptionally high level of quality.
Benefits
  • Ongoing education and mentorship opportunities
  • Generous health care
  • Paid time off
