About the role

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the ATC unit at East Midlands Airport
  • Ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of aerodrome and airspace services in line with CAA regulations and local procedures
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Watch Managers and operational staff
  • Overseeing performance, staff development, and the maintenance of operational standards
  • Coordinate operational activities, manage resources, respond to incidents, and ensure systems and infrastructure are fit for purpose
  • Deliver local projects and operational changes, ensuring staff are trained and prepared

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a highly regulated function (Air Traffic/Aerodrome)
  • In-depth knowledge of regulation with the ability to interpret and adapt regulations to local operational requirements
  • Evidence of leadership or management training relevant to operational and safety-critical environments is required
  • Competent in documentation, data management, and change management
