Perform software development and integration of models into the distributed execution environment of IAMD M&S capabilities to include IDETS, IAMDSIM, and ETESIM.
Make updates and improvements to existing models of the various sensors, shooters, and BMC3 elements.
Provide technical assistance in the preparation, conduct, post processing, results plotting/formatting, review, and reporting of analysis conducted utilizing IAMD’s M&S capabilities in support of IFMC and IF government Project Offices.
Serve as an individual contributor under the direction of senior systems and software engineers and collaborate with other developers, engineers, and analysts.
Apply modern software engineering methods to the development and maintenance of IDETS, ETESIM, and IAMDSIM environments, component models, and supporting software tools.
Support setup and execution of tests using the various IAMD M&S simulations.
Apply and develop automated analysis tools (e.g. Python scripts, Excel, scripting languages) to process logged results and compute metrics describing performance.
Prepare reports and presentations and conduct briefings of analysis results, methodology, and methods.
Coordinate planned tasks per task leader guidance and report accomplishments, status, and plans weekly.
Work primarily at the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering & Integration (S3I) Directorate, Bldg 5400, Redstone Arsenal during the normal M-F work week, with some flexibility and occasional after-hours/weekend work.
Requirements
A four-year, Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college in Computer Science (preferred), Engineering, Physics, or Math is required.
Working knowledge of computers, software, and personal productivity tools such as Microsoft Office tool suite.
Knowledge of and exposure to programming in Object-Oriented languages (preferably C, C++, Java), preferably in a Linux based environment.
Experience and exposure to analysis tools and methods (e.g. Python, SQL scripting, Excel).
Ability to serve as an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environment.
Applicants must be able to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance at the Secret level; desired that applicants already have a Secret level clearance.
