About the role

  • Market the portfolio of Zimpro wastewater treatment technologies worldwide and promote Lummus products and services
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, lead sales/pricing strategy and business risk analysis
  • Serve as commercial liaison between Technology operating groups and prospective clients, maintain consistent contact with key client representatives
  • Develop and negotiate licensing, engineering and equipment supply agreements
  • Assist in development of required proposal documents and coordinate proposal risk analysis
  • Work internally across functions to develop and gain approval for negotiated positions and sales strategy decisions
  • Ensure awarded projects are on-track, follow project management activities and ensure licensee payments per contract
  • Carry out sales forecasting, gather competitive intelligence and provide market feedback and technology requirements to technology managers
  • Establish strong relationships with regional sales representatives and other business groups
  • Prepare commercial offers and deliver client presentations for technology sales
  • Closely review contract terms and conditions and coordinate reviews with legal and financial departments

Requirements

  • Minimum of an engineering degree; MBA is a plus
  • At least 10 years of experience in process design and/or general technology, and marketing/licensing sales in the water treatment industry
  • General knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment market, equipment, process, and/or market a plus
  • Strong balance of technical and commercial capabilities, with proven business development, sales, and contract negotiation experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation and professional image
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities based on timing, feasibility, and profitability
  • High degree of self-motivation and energy; capable of earning respect and influencing others
  • Background in Technology licensing a plus
  • Strong understanding of various cultures and international business styles
