About the role
- Connect with customers via inbound calls and chats from consumer and trade customers, converting interest into orders.
- Place follow-up calls and emails on open quotes and proposals to close sales.
- Confidently consult customers on product details, pricing, and promotions.
- Manage a sales pipeline with discipline, tracking progress and optimizing close rates.
- Stay current on vendor updates, promotions, and product training.
- Deliver exceptional service while guiding customers through luxury product selections.
- Build rapport quickly and adapt to different customer types.
- Transfer trade opportunities to the appropriate account management team when required.
- Understand company policies on returns, replacements, and logistics, and transfer customers to the appropriate team when needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in a call center, retail, or similar environment.
- Strong influencing and closing skills, with comfort making follow-up calls to drive conversion.
- Motivated by achieving and exceeding sales goals, with interest in uncapped commission earnings.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of lighting and home furnishings is a plus.
