About the role
- Guide multiple scrum teams through the use of Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver quality software and solutions
- Conduct Scrum of Scrum or SAFe ART processes and ceremonies in a team-of-teams model
- Build trusted relationships with team members and stakeholders (Product Managers, Solutions Managers) to ensure needs are met
- Ensure the team follows standard processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate team in defining Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done and ensure those agreements are upheld
- Conduct team-of-team ceremonies including Program Increment (PI) Planning events for release trains
- Use techniques to continuously optimize ceremonies, team participation and engagement
- Identify and remove impediments, escalate impediments to product and solutions manager, recommend resolutions, and influence leadership to act
- Help team inspect and adapt through retrospectives, data/metrics tracking and creating a safe, trusting environment
- Coach Agile Release Train team-of-teams to higher levels of performance
- Assist with internal and external communication and improve transparency by creating visible information radiators (burn-downs, velocity chart, etc.), dashboards and demos
- Support Product Manager and/or Program Manager with communication materials for senior leadership
- Provide metric reports to assist in product roadmap planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or related field
- 4+ years of experience providing project, product, or team leadership
- 2+ years of experience performing as the Scrum Master for 2 or more software development teams utilizing SDLC
- 2-3 years of experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban, TDD, and toolsets such as Miro, Planview LeanKit, Atlassian suite, Aha
- 1-2 years of experience operating in the Scaled Agile Framework
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, reduce manual effort, and accelerate decision-making
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, capable of independently driving initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preferences: 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
- Preferences: Experience managing a budget of $2M-$10M
- Preferences: Experience leading teams with or without direct reports
- Preferences: 5+ years of experience in a software development team
