About the role
- Lead enterprise solution architecture modeling and design for the M&A group
- Collaborate with cross-domain architects, engineering, business, and product teams to deliver domain-driven, scalable, service-based solutions
- Implement and enforce architecture governance to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality
- Develop blueprint architectures, multi-year transition plans, and modernization recommendations
- Craft high-level and detailed designs throughout the product lifecycle
- Partner with Lean Portfolio Management and Agile Program Management Office to define vision and development value streams
- Promote Continuous Delivery Pipeline, DevSecOps capabilities, and reuse of code/components
- Deliver architecture aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and advocate for models and patterns that guide solution decisions
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on design and implementation experience in IT
- 3+ years of experience in application development, middleware, database management or operations, security, or integration
- Prior cloud experience
- Previous experience as a Solution Architect
- Strong understanding of financial markets, especially wealth management
- Experience with domain-driven architecture, microservices, and API design
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS, Glue, Lambda, and RDS
- Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or Kinesis
- Proficiency in defining current and future state architecture models
- In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud platform, security best practices, and the Well-Architected Framework
- Experience migrating monolithic on-prem applications to the cloud using refactoring, re-architecting, and re-platforming approaches, including 12-factor methodology
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, automated deployments, and containerization
- Excellent communication skills, ability to consult with customers, and experience presenting to executive management
- Understanding of agile methods (SAFe) and ability to support agile product teams
- Preference: AWS Certified Solutions Architect
