About the role
- Report to the Senior Legal Counsel and support qualified lawyers in the Legal Team.
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs and routine commercial contracts.
- Handle queries from PR, domains inbox and other channels.
- Review trade mark watch reports and escalate where necessary.
- Assist with operational privacy matters.
- Horizon scanning for relevant legal/regulatory developments.
- Assist with KYC, copy documents, and certification for CoSec.
- Support corporate filings and Board approvals; assist planning for Board meetings.
- Support legal issues arising from consumer complaints.
- First review of routine queries and allocate requests via legal workspace.
- Create FAQs and guidance notes to enable self-service of routine queries.
- Routine internal reporting to key stakeholders.
- Maintain the Risk Register and implement improvements to legal workspace/processes.
- File signed contracts and agreements in contract management system and cloud storage; handle requests for copy documents.
Requirements
- Excellent practical understanding of legal principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (able to articulate complex information to someone with no prior knowledge of the issue).
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise, multi-task, and work to deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive, meticulous, and enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of computer literacy.
- Natural confidence and inquisitiveness (able to get to the bottom of an issue through research and asking the right questions).
- Ability to identify and suggest improvements in processes and procedures.
- Desirable: Law degree or equivalent.
- Desirable: LPC/BVC/CILEX type qualification.
- Desirable: Understanding of and/or background in the travel industry a distinct advantage.
