Lead and manage department teams including engineers and technicians; provide technical guidance and mentorship
Foster a positive workplace culture, conduct performance appraisals, identify staffing needs, recruit and hire, ensure effective resource allocation
Plan, organize, and direct department activities including project management, design, and construction oversight; serve as project manager on various projects
Perform QC/QA as needed to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Develop new client relationships and maintain strong relationships with existing clients; coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance
Collaborate on budget development, implement cost control measures, improve productivity and efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE)
Demonstrated success in managing large and/or complex Water Resources engineering projects
Substantial experience managing wastewater, drinking water and/or storm water projects
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design and analysis
Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and leadership with a strong track record of guiding teams
Strong client management capabilities with proven ability to develop and maintain new client relationships
Valid Driver's License
Exceptional organizational skills (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
15 years of experience in water resources engineering (preferred; open to fewer years)
