About the role
- Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Ohio Structural team
- Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients and assist with business development for the Structural Engineering service line
- Apply knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design
- Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects (training and support available)
- Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
- Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
- Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments
- Prepare proposals and funding applications
- Participate in other projects and responsibilities as opportunities present themselves
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
- Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) meeting Level 2 criteria
- 10+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
