About the role
- Senior Construction Manager to join Wade Trim’s Construction Team in Cleveland, Ohio
- Act as the on-site liaison with the client and community
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Oversee staff that perform field inspections
- Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity
- Mentor junior staff
- Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
- Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
- Manage resources to deliver projects on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Provide design/technical expertise and coordinate design function with team members
- Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
- Generate additional sales through business development activities
- Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
- Assist with project reports and technical presentations
- Attend client, staff and project meetings
- Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
- Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or a related field OR Equivalent experience in Construction Management or Construction Inspection
- 7+ years of related engineering or construction management experience
- Self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong people and team building skills
- Ability to interpret technical data and perform technical writing
- Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills within consultant and client communities
- Intention to pursue or have obtained PE license and/or CCM certificate preferred
