About the role
- Lead strategic policy projects that support the Group’s purpose and commercial priorities.
- Develop new ideas and innovate.
- Produce high-quality briefings and policy papers for senior leaders.
- Monitor and analyse political developments across Westminster, devolved administrations, and regional and local government.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (at least seven or more years) in public policy leadership, ideally gained in central, regional, or local government, or a policy-focused role in a major institution (e.g. regulators, trade bodies, think tanks) or consultancy.
- Strong understanding of UK political institutions, policy-making processes and the socio-economic challenges facing the country.
- Proven ability to influence decision-makers and shape outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively, and present confidently to senior audiences.
- A collaborative approach and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work across teams and build consensus in complex environments.
