About the role
- Contributing to the shaping and execution of the strategic roadmap for Loans aligned to broader Group priorities.
- Supporting development of business cases, investment proposals and growth plans for key initiatives.
- Using customer, market and competitor insight to influence proposition design and commercial decision‑making.
- Ensuring robust risk management and compliance with key regulations, including Consumer Duty.
- Working closely with Product, Pricing and Platform teams to ensure propositions are delivered effectively, on time and within budget.
- Using data, analytics and AI‑enabled capabilities to inform decisions and unlock new opportunities for innovation.
- Helping to build a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity and collaborative problem‑solving.
Requirements
- Strong consumer insight capability: Able to interpret customer needs, behaviours and trends to inform proposition development.
- Strategic and commercial thinking: Comfortable evaluating market dynamics, customer demand and commercial outcomes to shape recommendations.
- Experience in transformation and digital enablement: Understanding of how technology, platforms and AI can drive better customer and business outcomes.
- Agile working knowledge: Practical experience applying agile methodologies to deliver change, collaborate effectively and respond to evolving priorities.
- Data‑led decision making: Able to assimilate complex information and make clear, evidenced recommendations.
- Skilled collaborator and communicator: Effective at influencing stakeholders, aligning teams and progressing decisions across a matrix environment.
- Experience working with platform teams in delivering change or enhancing digital journeys (desirable).
- Retail banking experience, particularly in unsecured lending or consumer finance (desirable).
- Exposure to developing strategy within a Loans, Credit or lending domain (desirable).
