About the role
- Own the procure-to-pay accounting cycle
- Oversee the accounts payable function including cash management
- Lead the training and onboarding strategy for business stakeholders
- Supervisory responsibilities of the Accounts Payable team
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports
- Review and approve journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships within the organization
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for areas of responsibility
- Work a flexible schedule around month-end close deadlines
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or MSA preferred
- Managerial or leadership experience required
- Audit background or experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of internal controls
- Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles including GAAP or IFRS
- Proficiency with Excel required; experience with NetSuite (or other ERP) preferred
