Solutions Engineer

• Act as the customer’s technical advisor across the lifecycle, partnering with Sales and Customer Success to ensure continuity from evaluation through onboarding and expansion, with a primary focus on pre-sales revenue impact.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture for strategic prospects and existing customers; translate customer workflows into Linear configuration, data model, permissions, and integration patterns.
• Run pre-sales technical evaluations end-to-end: deliver tailored deep-dive demos, proof-of-concepts, security and architecture reviews, and integration workshops that remove deal risk and accelerate time to close.
• Design and execute migrations and implementation plans that set customers up for long-term success; provide clear handoffs to post-sale teams (context, decisions, risks, and next steps).
• Build and maintain realistic, scalable demo environments and reference configurations that mirror enterprise workflows and enable Sales to tell a credible, repeatable story.
• Codify lifecycle playbooks and enablement: create technical training for sales and post-sale teams, curate exemplars, and continuously improve the technical sales motion.

Customer Support

• Support customers in end-to-end engagement, including onboarding, account setup, debugging issues, feature and integration discovery
• Investigate and resolve inbound customer issues reported through all communication channels, including email, Slack, Twitter, and Reddit
• Partner with our engineering team to document and reproduce bugs
• Surface trends and insights from customer feedback to the team at large to inform product choices

General Counsel

• Own core legal areas, including commercial agreements, trademarks, and corporate governance/equity, with support from outside counsel as needed
• Develop the legal foundation/frameworks for new products and initiatives
• Work closely with our product teams to navigate the legal implications of AI, including data privacy and model usage
• Lead negotiations for our most complex enterprise MSAs and DPAs, focusing on high-leverage issues like liability caps and indemnification
• Partner with Product and Engineering during feature design and development to identify legal and regulatory implications early—including privacy-by-design, AI data handling, and enterprise compliance requirements—so that legal considerations are built in, not bolted on
• Act as the primary interface to outside counsel, ensuring that they are used effectively and cost-efficiently
• Advise our People and Talent teams on HR matters across multiple states/countries as we continue our international expansion
• Give clear legal guidance that teams can use without constant escalation
