About the role

  • Participate in Operations Management Internship applying academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing settings
  • Work on meaningful projects delivering technical training, mentorship, and professional development
  • Develop Lean Six Sigma knowledge and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Analyze workflows to uncover opportunities for simplifying and streamlining general operations
  • Contribute to ongoing CI projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across departments
  • Collect, interpret, and report on operational data to inform decision-making and drive improvements
  • Analyze current safety reporting trends for quick hit improvements and maintain behavior-based safety programs
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and suggest improvements
  • Complete root cause analyses in different operations areas
  • Implement process improvements to reduce impact on first pass yield and standardize processes and procedures
  • Work with operations team to manage and improve huddle boards
  • Find opportunities to improve stock availability at regional distribution centers and analyze warehouse footprint at Cleveland-HUB
  • Understand domestic shipping lanes and present cases to lower shipping costs
  • Receive hands-on welding training in the Welding Technology Center
  • Participate in networking events, community service, and presentations to leadership

Requirements

  • Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship
  • Preferred: degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering management, or a similar field
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
