About the role
- Participate in Operations Management Internship applying academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing settings
- Work on meaningful projects delivering technical training, mentorship, and professional development
- Develop Lean Six Sigma knowledge and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
- Analyze workflows to uncover opportunities for simplifying and streamlining general operations
- Contribute to ongoing CI projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across departments
- Collect, interpret, and report on operational data to inform decision-making and drive improvements
- Analyze current safety reporting trends for quick hit improvements and maintain behavior-based safety programs
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and suggest improvements
- Complete root cause analyses in different operations areas
- Implement process improvements to reduce impact on first pass yield and standardize processes and procedures
- Work with operations team to manage and improve huddle boards
- Find opportunities to improve stock availability at regional distribution centers and analyze warehouse footprint at Cleveland-HUB
- Understand domestic shipping lanes and present cases to lower shipping costs
- Receive hands-on welding training in the Welding Technology Center
- Participate in networking events, community service, and presentations to leadership
Requirements
- Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
- Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship
- Preferred: degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering management, or a similar field
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
