About the role

  • Expertise in electrical design of SPM machines, heavy equipment and large electromechanical systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Create general arrangement and electrical schematics.
  • Design control panels, safety circuits, and select servo motors & drives.
  • Perform PLC I/O mapping, field wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Design and specify MCC, PCC and VFD panels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project delivery and NPI.
  • Use PLC programming (ladder logic, function block) and SCADA where required.
  • Work with Electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD, E-PLAN, Solidworks Electrical) to produce drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical symbols and standards (IEC60617, IEEE Std 315-1975) and certification requirements (ATEX, CE, UL).
  • Engage in product lifecycle management and collaborate with mechanical teams to develop and improve processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical design, with specific experience in wiring design for panels, machine drives or industrial automation.
  • 5-10 years of experience in PLC programming.
  • Experience creating electrical drawings, schematic drawings and electrical layout drawings.
  • Experience working with wiring harness in SPM machines, control systems and heavy machinery.
  • Sound knowledge of PLC systems, control panel layouts, and wiring routing.
  • Experience with specific PLC brands (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA software may be required.
  • Hands-on experience with Electrical CAD packages (AutoCAD, E-PLAN or similar) and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks Electrical and other electrical design software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MCC, PCC, VFD panels.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, function block diagram).
  • Familiarity with electrical symbols and standards (IEC60617, IEEE Std 315-1975).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in ATEX, CE, UL certification and safety standards is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Welding, Industrial Automation, Oil & Gas, Electric Power Generation, or electrical panel development is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) and New Product Introduction (NPI) full product cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
