About the role

  • Manage all aspects of the operations in Coldwater with P&L responsibility for the business; direct management responsibility for project execution, engineering, assembly, project management, and customer service.
  • Drive standardization of processes that align with Lincoln Electric Automation sites.
  • Provide direction and leadership to establish a safe, effective and efficient operation that consistently produces and delivers quality products on time.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the Coldwater strategy, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between department managers/subordinate levels, as well as, executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results.
  • Manage all aspects of the supply chain to maximize reliability and flexibility while minimizing waste and working capital requirements.
  • Support staffing requirements to ensure resource deployment is suitable.
  • Establish a culture that blends the dynamic aspects of a project-based business with the operational support structure of a high volume production facility; makes the business the "employer of choice" in the area; ensures compliance with all laws and the corporate code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or highly experienced professional with at least 10 years of industry experience
  • Proven record of accomplishment of leading and developing large teams with diverse backgrounds and skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; must be able to sort through complex issues, define a course of action and align resources
  • Strong communication skills; must be able to effectively engage employees at all levels of the organization to set a clear vision and expectations
  • Strong conflict management skills; must be able to hold employees accountable for their performance and conduct, and address capability gaps within the team
  • Factory operations experience and proficiency with managing in a custom equipment environment preferred
  • Familiarity with custom manufacturing, automation and capital equipment a plus
