About the role

  • Maintain productive working relationships with current customers and accounts
  • Provide technical sales support to target customers
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the entire Automation group’s products and capabilities
  • Comprehend customer drawings, specifications, bills of material, & timelines to support developing cost and budget models
  • Review customer needs and develop solutions
  • Plan and implement sales strategies with supervisor
  • Meet or exceed established sales and performance targets
  • Identify and segment a broader customer database and track potential opportunities
  • Support the process of developing proposals with Application Engineering departments
  • Track daily activities and maintain the SalesForce CRM according to guidelines
  • Review, analyze and recommend action to enhance business processes
  • Work with sales management to develop opportunities for automation manufacturing

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 5 – 7 years experience in manufacturing industry environment with emphasis on Machining/Build to Print Market Segment
  • Technical knowledge of print reading and interpretation
  • Proficient in Computer Literature and Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to concept, qualify and apply automated and machining solutions to customer needs
  • Experienced at presenting proposal solutions in a group setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense for time management
  • Ability to travel 30-50%
