Perform on-site repairs and preventative maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
Provide technical support via phone and email to clients.
Coordinate with manager to escalate service calls if a customer remains down for more than 8 hours.
Monitor and analyze preventive maintenance (PM) and service metrics to ensure high customer satisfaction and instrument performance.
Assist in scheduling, coordinating, and performing new product installations, operator training, and assay validation activities at the customer site.
Provide in-service training to customers on operations and general preventive maintenance as required.
Interpret and troubleshoot using component block diagrams, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.
Ensure all service activities are documented in compliance with Quality System standards.
Complete administrative duties including travel planning, expense reporting, and parts ordering.
Requirements
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Engineering, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience servicing HPLC/UPLC systems (Agilent, Waters, and Shimadzu required).
Previous OEM or third-party service experience with Agilent 1100/1200/1260 Infinity, 1290 UPLC; Waters Alliance and Acquity UPLC; Shimadzu Prominence and Nexera platforms.
Strong knowledge of chromatography principles and laboratory practices.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
Familiarity with chromatography data systems (e.g., Empower/MassLynx, MassHunter, OpenLab ChemStation, LabSolutions).
Willingness and ability to travel 60-70%.
Located anywhere in US near a major national airport; Mid-west or East coast preferred.
