Report to the Director of Live Service and lead analytics for a new AAA IP
Manage a team of analysts and data engineers to ensure correct data and timely insights
Lead the analytics roadmap: set priorities, manage backlog, balance speed with data quality
Define event taxonomies with feature teams and land instrumentation with Engineering
Maintain core models and self-serve dashboards; keep metric definitions clear and consistent to reduce time to insight
Partner with Live Services, Game Design, Economy and Monetization to turn analysis into decisions and measured results
Run forecasting with Monetization and Finance; build outlooks, scenarios and pressure test assumptions
Lead data governance and privacy efforts: drive compliance across analytics and data pipelines, monitor data quality, manage access and maintain documentation
Requirements
Significant time spent in games analytics with experience supporting a live title or major live update
Proven leadership of analysts and data engineers, including setting standards, reviewing work and coaching craft
Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow)
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, GitHub) for managing analytics codebases
Strong SQL and excellent spreadsheet skills, able to build cohorts, funnels, retention views and sanity-check models
Experience defining event taxonomies and working with Engineering to land instrumentation in builds
Clear communication that tells a story with data and explains trade-offs to creative and commercial partners
Practical approach to experimentation and decision-making when formal tests are not feasible
(Desirable) Python or R for deeper analysis and forecasting
(Desirable) Experience with staged rollouts, change control and data quality monitoring
(Desirable) Background preparing leadership-ready performance and outlook summaries
