About the role

  • Sales and relationship focused role with daily travel within a designated Southern Indiana territory
  • Prospect for new clients via networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches to convince potential clients to do business
  • Develop rapport with new clients, set sales targets, and provide ongoing support
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting innovative solutions and services
  • Work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff
  • Potentially manage activities of other team members under Sales Manager/Director direction
  • Strategic planning to ensure Business Development team success
  • Handle objections, arrange and participate in client debriefs, set up meetings with decision makers
  • Attend industry functions, provide market and trend feedback, identify opportunities for campaigns and distribution channels

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a territory-based sales or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to network, speak in public, close deals, while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
