About the role
- Lead and scale a rapidly growing Revenue Cycle organization, adapting operating models to support growth, acquisitions, and increased volume.
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for professional billing Revenue Cycle functions.
- Maintain accountability for productivity, quality, compliance, and client-specific performance metrics.
- Centralize ownership for end-to-end professional billing Revenue Cycle operations across assigned service lines.
- Establish and maintain industry’s best practices and standardized workflows.
- Serve as the primary Revenue Cycle leader supporting local market billing coordinators for Behavioral Health, RHCs, and Provider-Based Billing.
- Provide guidance, escalation support, and problem-solving assistance to ensure timely claim submission, follow-up, and resolution.
- Establish consistent communication and operating rhythms with market billing leaders to review performance, barriers, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate enterprise Revenue Cycle strategies, policies, and standards into practical workflows for local teams.
- Partner with market and operational leadership to support workflow optimization and change management.
- Partner with Analytics to ensure reporting accuracy and standardized KPI definitions.
- Establish governance processes for reviewing and approving Revenue Cycle build changes, payer configurations, and workflow modifications.
- Monitor the operational impact of system changes and ensure rapid issue resolution to prevent revenue disruption.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Medical Billing and Revenue Cycle Management. Demonstrated leadership experience across middle- and back-end Revenue Cycle operations.
