About the role

  • Oversee the commissioning phase of multiple large-scale BESS projects, managing several commissioning teams.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Ensure all BESS components are commissioned to meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Deep technical knowledge of BESS components, including lithium-ion batteries, power conversion systems, SCADA/EMS, and grid interconnection.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes (pre-commissioning, functional testing, performance verification, and handover).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, NFPA, IEC) and grid codes.
