About the role
- Lead complex transaction‑focused legal support initiatives for land acquisition, development, title, entitlement, HOA, and related real estate matters
- Manage advanced legal documents and filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
- Manage and coordinate end‑to‑end execution of major real estate transactions
- Oversee real estate due diligence and information‑management processes for compliance and defensibility
- Maintain matter‑management systems and workflows for accurate tracking and documentation integrity
- Partner with General Counsels, Land Acquisition, Land Development, Finance, and Division leadership to support execution of legal strategies
- Mentor paralegal and administrative staff, reinforcing standards and supporting skill development
- Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and resources for efficiency and quality
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or comparable combination of education and relevant experience
- 10+ years of paralegal experience in real estate transactions, land acquisition, title, development, or homebuilding
- Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, easements, entity documents, and closing documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills
- Self-starter able to resolve inquiries and issues independently
- Ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Must maintain discretion in handling highly confidential information.
