About the role
- Assist attorney(s) with clerical and research support; document preparation and review; investigations, and fact checking.
- Engage in due diligence for acquisitions, rebrands, dispositions, turnover.
- Draft and file corporate documents and annual reports; prepare license agreements, easements, leases.
- Create new companies of record; draft organizational governing documents.
- Investigate facts and develop legal arguments; draft leases, declarations, deeds, and related instruments.
- Prepare and file documents with courts; organize and archive documents.
- Review legal documents and provide edits and recommendations.
- Support operational aspects of new project developments, licensing, document preparation, and research.
- Review recorded instruments; identify key points and advise on legal strategy.
- Conduct legal research in condominium, timeshare and project documents across jurisdictions.
- Flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a paralegal or equivalent legal support position
- Experience in writing legal contracts and research memos
- Real estate and timeshare knowledge preferred
- Four-year college degree or equivalent qualifying work experience
- Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program or qualifying legal experience
