About the role
- Serve as main contact for clients and handle a variety of financial tasks for each client
- Manage and train specialists reporting to the Accounting Manager
- General handling of client accounts, answering questions, and finding solutions to problems
- Review and analyze financial information across clients’ companies
- Learn and apply eCommerce and inventory accounting concepts
- Work with sales tax team to provide accurate financial pictures for eCommerce clients
- Create monthly and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain financial records and participate in audits or reconciliations as needed
- Perform invoicing, bill payments, budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial analysis
- Confidently engage with clients and explain finance concepts clearly
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Ability to analyze and understand financial statements
- Ability and confidence to communicate accurate accounting details to clients and coworkers
- Experience with QuickBooks, small business accounting, or eCommerce business (preferred)
- Experience as a controller, CPA certification, or CMA certification (a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively across virtual teams
- Ability to meet with clients and manage client relationships
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Availability 3-4 hours during normal business hours for meetings and client communication
- Willingness to work part-time ~25+ hours per week
