About the role
- Report to the Vice President, Revenue Controller and own revenue recognition and reporting across all subsidiaries
- Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Review and analyze client agreements to determine revenue recognition treatment
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure alignment between contractual terms and revenue recognition principles
- Maintain deferred revenue schedules for all client contracts and reconcile trial balance reports during the monthly close
- Prepare revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities
- Maintain awareness of changes/updates to GAAP revenue recognition rules (ASC 606)
- Assist in preparation of the annual revenue budget, monthly revenue forecasts, and variance analysis
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue
- Conduct ad hoc analytics and reporting as directed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preferred
- Highly organized self-starter preferred
