About the role
- Generate high-quality leads by leveraging your relationships with Shopify Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Merchant Success Managers.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key contacts across the Shopify ecosystem who work with enterprise and high-growth merchants.
- Attend Shopify Unite, regional partner events, and industry conferences to expand your network and source opportunities.
- Position yourself as a trusted, value-add resource within the Shopify community - someone AEs and SEs actively want to refer business to.
- Map and cultivate relationships across the Shopify organization - understanding who covers which accounts, verticals, and segments.
- Qualify leads through consultative discovery and coordinate seamless handoffs to our delivery team.
- Develop repeatable co-selling and referral motions that create a consistent, qualified pipeline.
- Track relationship sources, pipeline metrics, and maintain detailed CRM records of your network activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales roles, owning meaningful revenue targets and closing sizeable deals by leveraging strong, trust-based relationships.
- Deep, established relationships across the Shopify ecosystem, with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Merchant Success Managers who know you and trust you.
- Deeply embedded in the Shopify community and regularly attend industry events, partner conferences, and ecosystem gatherings.
- Proven track record of generating pipeline through relationship-building and strategic networking, not cold outreach.
- Understanding of the Shopify platform at an expert level - from enterprise capabilities to the partner landscape.
- Naturally consultative and value-driven - you're the person people think of when a merchant needs help.
- Comfortable working at conferences and events, turning conversations into qualified opportunities.
