DevOps Engineer

• To be successful the candidate will be expected to rapidly deliver solutions leveraging the following specific cloud services and tooling down below:
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Mastery: Quickly implement and adapt infrastructure using Terraform , Pulumi, or other major IaC tools.
• Containers proficiency: Experience with Docker is critical. You must deeply understand how to design, build, and optimize secure, multi-stage Dockerfiles.
• CI/CD Implementation: Design, build, and manage robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code testing, building, and deployment across environments.
• Core Cloud Services (AWS or GCP): Proven ability to provision and manage foundational services. Deep expertise in one major cloud provider is required, with the understanding that knowledge is transferable to the other.
• Container Compute: Expertise in at least one major container platform: EKS, GKE, ECS, Fargate, OR Cloud Run. (Expertise in Kubernetes (k8s) is still highly valued, particularly with EKS or and GKE.)
• Networking: Understand when to use load balancers, VPNs for secure connectivity, and private VPCs for network isolation. Applies knowledge of subnetting, routing, VPC peering, and NAT gateways to build secure applications.
• Storage: Experience with S3 (AWS) OR Cloud Storage (GCP).
• Databases: Experience with RDS (AWS) OR CloudSQL (GCP).
• Serverless: Deploy event-driven components using Cloud Functions (AWS Lambda/GCP Functions) or their equivalents.
• CDNs, Message Queues.
• Security: Understands the value of security such as protecting PII, the role of encryption, secrets management, network firewalls, and web application firewalls (AWS WAF, GCP Cloud Armor) following security best practices.
• Automation & Scripting: Write high-quality automation and tooling using Go, Python, Node.js or Bash for client-specific operational challenges.
• Monitoring and Operations: Ensure robust monitoring (leveraging out-of-the-box cloud provider solutions) and high system uptime.

Senior Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer

• Own delivery end-to-end; scope projects with clients and engineers, define realistic roadmaps, break into clear phases, identify dependencies, and keep everything on track through shifts.
• Unblock teams and maintain rhythm; surface obstacles early, facilitate planning, connect resources, and coach teams through ambiguity so progress stays visible.
• Translate between technical and business contexts; explain engineering constraints to stakeholders and client priorities to engineers—keep both sides aligned and moving.
• Build and maintain strong client partnerships; communicate progress clearly, explain tradeoffs in business terms, and flag risks before they become surprises.
• Work directly with engineering teams on scoping and execution; collaborate on what's feasible, iterate based on constraints, maintain documentation, and move deliberately.

• Own end-to-end design strategy from discovery through prototyping, testing, and handoff; deliver high-fidelity visuals, interaction specs, and docs that engineers can action immediately.
• Work directly with client engineers early and often—discuss what's feasible, collaborate on tradeoffs, and iterate designs based on technical constraints and opportunities.
• Partner with client Product and Engineering teams to understand goals and user needs; translate objectives into compelling design solutions that move their roadmap forward.
• Lead with mobile-first thinking; design experiences optimized for mobile with thoughtful desktop and tablet considerations where needed.

Senior Shopify Developer, Technical Content Creator

• Lead 2-3 large commerce projects and work with the engineers on the team to ensure delivery excellence
• Lead large commerce implementations from one commerce platforms onto Shopify (e.g. BigCommerce, Salesforce, Magento, WooCommerce migrations)
• Lead ERP integrations (e.g. Netsuite), including familiarity with iPaaS solutions for such integrations
• Lead CMS integrations (e.g. Sanity, Contentful, etc)
• Understanding of the different components of the Shopify ecosystem (e.g. markets, checkout extensibility, functions, analytics, mobile, testing, etc)
