About the role
- Manage the Department’s current awareness and monitoring services in Europe
- Create bespoke monitoring products leveraging multiple tools, technologies and information sources
- Train Research Services colleagues to provide monitoring products that minimize the need for human curation
- Develop and implement standards and best practices for the delivery of current awareness and monitoring
- Manage aggregation platforms such as Vable and LN Newsdesk, and work with vendors to troubleshoot issues
- Liaise with Technology & Information Services to develop internal solutions such as a current awareness dashboard
- Liaise with other business services to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes
Requirements
- Superior monitoring skills and knowledge
- Ability to lead effective training sessions for departmental colleagues and other business services staff
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use independent judgment when making suggestions and decisions
- Legal and non-legal research knowledge and skills, preferably Relevant monitoring experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
