About the role

  • Supporting the Global Finance department in achieving financial reporting objectives across multiple international jurisdictions
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and tax reports for these jurisdictions
  • Analyzing statutory ledgers, monitoring reconciliations, and investigating variances across billing, collections, and financial reporting data
  • Preparing and reviewing account analyses, journal entries, and month-end closing tasks
  • Validating financial data across accounting systems and maintaining financial accounting procedures
  • Reviewing statutory reports, identifying discrepancies, and presenting findings to stakeholders as needed for resolution
  • Collaborating with finance management on year-end reporting, new report development, and special projects
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of cash and accrual accounting principles in a multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Elite 3E, Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Business Objects, or similar platforms, preferably
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, business, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent international certification, preferably
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in accounting practices and procedures with increasing responsibility
  • International accounting and financial reporting experience, including foreign exchange exposure, preferably
  • Public accounting or professional services firm experience, preferably
