About the role

  • Ensuring all stages of the global partner recruiting process are executed with the highest standards of recruiting best practice and escalating issues for discussion and resolution as needed
  • Liaising with colleagues across business services to ensure they are informed regarding processes involving prospective partners and counsel, to flag issues, and to facilitate their resolution
  • Tracking progress and deliverables for late-stage processes globally, including collating feedback, drafting vote memos, obtaining client references, and general project management
  • Procuring reports and providing regular updates to all relevant members of firm and administrative leadership on the status of lateral partner and counsel recruiting activities, including highlighting notable global and local trends
  • Following up proactively on issues or questions arising from partner interview feedback, including developing a systematic approach to gathering, analyzing, and acting upon feedback received, and ensuring the timely resolution and communication of the outcomes to all relevant stakeholders
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of recruiting experience, preferably
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management role, preferably
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A master of business administration (MBA), juris doctor (JD), or master’s degree, preferably
  • Exhibit strong project management skills to lead and structure thinking and work, with the ability to multitask and a track record of strong demonstrated leadership
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to build consensus
  • Possess the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment and deliver results on a tight timeframe
