About the role
- Lead the technical elements of Barnet’s move from a long-term outsourced IT service model to a modern, hybrid delivery approach
- Plan and deliver the transition of key systems, platforms, and services to new suppliers or in-house teams
- Ensure continuity, security, and value for money
- Coordinate complex technical change, manage risks and dependencies
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners for smooth transitions
- Provide expert oversight and assurance throughout system migrations, data transfers, service handovers, and onboarding new technical capabilities
Requirements
- Experienced technical professional with a strong track record of leading complex IT transitions and managing risk in modern, hybrid technology environments
- Excel at coordinating technical change, overseeing system migrations, data transfers and service handovers
- Ensure continuity, security and value for money throughout transition programmes
- Strong relationship building skills, influence effectively across organisational boundaries
- Proactive, organised approach and ability to navigate complex dependencies
