About the role
- Architect & Build Golden Paths: Design, build, and maintain paved roads for our engineering teams, create reusable, self-service infrastructure patterns, MLOps platforms, advanced CI/CD systems, and observability dashboards
- Champion Platform-as-a-Product: Engage with developers to understand pain points, gather requirements, and build solutions
- Drive DevOps & SRE Culture: Mentor teams on best practices for CI/CD, IaC, observability, and security
- Automate Everything: Develop and manage core platform pipelines and infrastructure using IaC tools like OpenTofu and Pulumi
- Evolve our Cloud & Container Ecosystem: Manage and optimize multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes
- Document for Scale: Create high-quality documentation for platform architecture, standards, and user guides
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Containerization & Kubernetes – Strong understanding of systems for container based deployments, including Azure AKS / AWS EKS, Redhat Openshift, SuSE Rancher, k3s, k0s
- Underlying container technologies such as the OCI format, Docker/podman runtimes
- Extensive experience engaging directly with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships
- Demonstrated success in delivering and supporting enterprise-wide infrastructure and orchestration initiatives
- Cloud Architecture & Governance – Strong understanding of cloud-native operating models and platform governance frameworks
- AI/ML integration experience – Experience embedding AI/ML workloads into hybrid cloud platforms
- Large Enterprise Systems & Process Familiarity
- Proven delivery experience – ability to manage multiple projects
- Technical Leadership & Communication – exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Data Platform Proficiency – understanding of SQL and other enterprise database systems, DocumentDB/MongoDB
- ITSM & Workflow Automation Experience - working knowledge of ServiceNow
- Certifications & Continuous Improvement – holds or actively pursues relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD
