Candidate will work with suppliers to ensure access to and alignment on technical data requirements and specifications
Collaborate with suppliers on new product development and technological innovations
Oversee supplier development of manufacturing baseline documentation, and align planning with Project Engineering, Quality and other functions as necessary
Ensure timeliness of technical/manufacturing Q&A between supplier and COEs
Author and/or review inputs to supplier validation/qualification statement of works for new processes
Encourage suppliers to propose innovative solutions that can enhance products or processes
Align with engineering and strategy department personnel to promote and align internal research & development (IR&D) projects
Generate weekly status reports to management and engineering
Travel 50% to supplier location(s) (could be some international travel as needed)

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Security Clearance would be preferred, but not necessary
Master degree or focus in supply chain preferred
Work in manufacturing environment using basic technical skills such as drawing reviews, standard operating procedure development and/or equipment usage
Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products, as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions
Communication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders
