About the role
- Take over the western hemisphere IT team, providing guidance, management, and coaching to maximize team performance

- Align IT services with business demands and address issues promptly
- Communicate and reinforce business objectives, simplifying technical issues for senior leadership
- Engage with vendors for contract negotiations and manage recruitment, succession planning, and performance
- Oversee employee support, leave, expenses, travel, and training logistics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Proven expertise in technical and personnel management
- Deep knowledge in Linux server environments, network appliances (Junos OS, DNOS, Cisco iOS), and network design (Ethernet, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Experience with VPNs (IPSec, Wireguard, OpenVPN), network attached storage (TrueNAS, NetApp, Dell PowerStore), virtualization (VMWare), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Skilled in deployment/automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash) and AWS services (ec2, s3, lambda, etc.)
- Familiarity with developer tools (Gitlab, Artifactory, Atlassian Tools) and desktop/mobile environments (Linux, MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android)
- Proficient in endpoint and system health monitoring tools (XDR, SIEM, Prometheus/Grafana, SNMP)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proactive in anticipating and resolving customer needs
- Excellent communication and resilience in high-pressure situations
- Relevant degree with 10+ years of professional experience, including leading teams through organizational change and developing multi-year technology strategies
- Eligibility for a security clearance (current clearance is a plus)
- Experience designing constrained IT solutions in the US Defense Industrial Base or US Intelligence Community
- Strong risk management and governance orientation
- Confidence and decisiveness in periods of change.
