About the role
- Manage interface between Operations Program Management, Design Engineering, and Operations to assess risk and provide solutions.
- Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments using the DoD Manufacturing Readiness level (MRL) framework.
- Analyze product/program maturity and assigns manufacturing readiness levels using the DoD MRL threads as a guideline.
- Create Manufacturing transition plans.
- Provide input into new production contract proposals for Operations.
- Deliver professional written and verbal communication to both internal and external stakeholders including L3Harris customers.
- Leads, plans and conducts technical projects typically related to manufacturability, product performance, yields, and process capability.
- Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, manufacturing plans and procedures, analyzes configuration and processing solutions, and tests conformance to specifications.
- Recommend new or improved design solutions and processes; review literature, patents and current industry practices of relevance to assigned project.
- Follow processes in conformance with established policies and objectives.
- Participate in critical design reviews.
- Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations and subsequent Root Cause, Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
- Partner with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements to the portion of the Company’s AOP that falls within this role’s span of control.
- Support a culture of Continuous Improvement, “Right the First Time”, Safety First, Audit Ready, and Policy & Security Compliant.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree & a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in ME, EE, IE, or equivalent.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with wireless communication or similar systems and related system architecture, hardware design, integration and qualification.
- Required experience in product development (preferably in military application environments)
- Required skills: Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines
- Effective coordination of project(s) and efforts of technical support personnel
- Ability to productively contribute work, ideas and collaboration as part of a team
