About the role
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing robust supply chain strategies and executing key programs across MID products
- Collaborate with functional leaders to implement tailored practices for successful execution from early engineering design through the full product lifecycle
- Emphasis on risk and opportunity management to ensure high-quality delivery
- Responsible for program cost, schedule, and compliance with internal policies and external Canadian regulations related to materials and subcontracts
- Develop and execute strategies to improve supplier and customer on-time delivery
- Ensure timely completion of all material and subcontract milestones
- Manage material and subcontract budgets; drive actions to improve financial performance
- Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and other functions for key products/programs
- Analyze key performance indicators and champion continuous improvement
- Develop supply chain estimates using risk and opportunity frameworks for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case scenarios
- Ensure compliance with Canadian laws and regulations (e.g., Controlled Goods Program, PSPC procurement guidelines)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience; or graduate degree and minimum 5 years of related experience
- Experience in supply chain and program management across the product lifecycle (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal leadership and cross-functional teams management
- Experience with new business proposals and competitive/sole-source pursuits
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities
- Subcontractor management from development through production
- Ability to deconstruct complex issues into actionable strategies
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and control account management
- Familiarity with Canadian procurement and export control regulations (e.g., Controlled Goods Program, PSPC, ITAR equivalency)
