About the role
- Responsible for the safety, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity of a manufacturing team
- Work closely with multiple functional areas to optimize material flow, equipment, and workforce requirements
- Provide leadership to a department across multiple shifts, driving continuous improvement and removing waste and cost
- Conduct extensive investigations to understand root cause of problems
- Establish operational plans with measurable contributions towards the achievement of results
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 9 years prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in Operations Management
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to apply a continuous improvement mindset to procedures and processes
- Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with impact on department results
- Understands management and lean approaches and has practical knowledge of job area
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook
