About the role
- Provide leadership and positive influence on various Programs
- Identify projects’ scope, timelines and resources
- Determine and propose solutions, deliver the products and services as agreed
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of various programs
- Manage cost, schedule and technical performance of the Program
- Participate in negotiation of Contract and Contract changes
- Coordinate preparation of proposals, Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications
- Identify any shortfalls in resources or skill sets
- Responsible for performance of projects in terms of costs, quality, and schedule
- Identify new business opportunities with the client
- Direct management personnel and specialized professionals
- Chair and facilitate various meetings to review progress of work
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the Defense Industry
- 5+ years in Program Management or related fields
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant fields
- Personnel management experience is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with French as an asset
- Deep knowledge of Program management best practices
- Experience in Earned Value Reporting, with PMP Certification as an asset
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically
- Strong analytical, organizational and change management skills
- Team building / Communication skills including effective writing, briefing and ability to motivate
- Consensus building, issue resolution/problem solving skills, conflict resolution, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Pro-active, demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative and a strong leadership
- Demonstrates good planning, organizational, analytical, monitoring and decision making skills
- Dedication, commitment and judgment
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
