About the role
- Plan the sourcing selection process
- Lead the project team through supplier evaluation
- Negotiate subcontracts and support related negotiations
- Collaborate with teams to develop Work Packages and Statements of Work
- Ensure flow down of customer contractual requirements
- Resolve subcontractor issues using Lean and Continuous Improvement tools
- Achieve program milestones for cost, delivery, and quality
- Grow subcontractor and supplier relationships
Requirements
- Ten years of experience in a Subcontract role
- Background in Defense/Aerospace market preferred
- Firm understanding of Subcontracts and Supply Chain Principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience travelling to global supplier locations
- Clear understanding of Controlled Goods requirements (ITAR, CGP)
- Clear understanding of FAR/DFARS requirements
- Ability to influence strategy at the Director and VP levels
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP tools
- Experience in performing detailed cost analysis
