About the role
- Manage a team of 10-15 engineers of multiple experience levels
- Ensure best schedule and cost performance
- Technical review of all work done within the group
- Responsible for workforce planning and staffing for the team
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Bid and proposal support, staffing and review
- Point of Contact for other engineering disciplines, programs, operations
- Engineering processes and guideline development and approval
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or related discipline
- Minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
- Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Advanced degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (preferred)
- Prior or current management / team lead / project lead experience
- 5+ years of Electronic Warfare, Wireless Comms or DSP related digital design experience
- Experience in DoD accepted engineering development practices, processes, and documentation
- Experience with bidding, planning, and executing related engineering development efforts
- Experience with EVMS, cost proposal management systems, JIRA, and MS Project
- Experience with VHDL, C, C++, and Matlab
- Experience leading engineering project teams
- Demonstrated responsibility/accountability for budgets exceeding $1M
