About the role

  • Drive development of the defined Source Market (Mexico) for Kuoni Tumlare's Meetings & Events network.
  • Accelerate sales, nurture existing relationships, manage key accounts, acquire new clients and reactivate dormant clients for agencies and corporate clients.
  • Be accountable and budget responsible for the financial performance of the assigned source market and meet financial targets.
  • Submit a monthly business activity report to sales support and superior by set deadlines.
  • Conduct continuous market research to identify new opportunities and approach clients.
  • Identify marketing and sales activities to increase market share, improve market positioning and brand awareness.
  • Communicate market, client and potential intelligence across the global network.
  • Manage subordinates professionally and ensure compliant operations.
  • Travel within Mexico as required to meet clients and develop business.

Requirements

  • Degree in tourism / business administration / marketing / event management.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience in MICE.
  • Understanding of client expectations of the market.
  • Spanish mother tongue, with strong knowledge of the local culture and business environment.
  • Business fluency in English.
  • Based in Mexico City or surrounding areas, with availability to travel within Mexico.
  • Ideally has a network of existing contacts in key cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, collaboration, problem-solving, strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong IT literacy, ability to prepare client reports and maintain structured follow-up, presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with local procurement procedures, payment terms, and the pitch process.
  • Professional attitude with patience, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple client expectations.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage subordinates in a professional, business oriented and compliant manner.
