About the role
- Advising clients on mechanisms to optimise their balance sheet
- Advising on capital relief and similar transactions for financial services firms
- Assisting clients in understanding the impact of prudential developments on their balance sheet
- Advising clients on their organisational design and regulatory implications of changes to their structures
- Advising firms on managing their relationship with PRA and FCA
- Providing technical prudential regulatory support and advice on transactions
- Supporting firms in developing the ICAAP, ILAAP, ORSA processes
- Delivering client projects to a high level of quality and mentoring junior team members
- Supporting client relationship management and thought leadership development
- Developing propositions and responses to client requests for proposals
Requirements
- Good understanding of banks or insurance business models
- Knowledge of bank and/or insurance capital rules and requirements
- Understanding of key regulatory and market developments
- Established track record and experience in the PRA rules and guidance
- Relevant financial services experience with a prudential regulatory, treasury or ratings focus
- Drive to develop your skills in financial resource management
- Good communication and stakeholder/customer management skills
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
- Industry recognised qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM, ACA) desirable but not essential
