About the role
- Work on and lead HR due diligence and related people-focused deal projects
- Help coach junior team members and contribute to the growth of our HR due diligence capability
- Contributing to and leading the delivery of HR due diligence and vendor due diligence reports
- Reviewing key areas including pensions, compensation and benefits, TUPE, employee-related liabilities, leadership and organisational structure, compliance and HR function maturity
- Supporting clients in identifying people-related cost levers and value creation opportunities, including workforce cost analysis and synergy planning
- Acting as a key point of contact for client stakeholders across specific areas of the engagement
- Managing small to medium-sized teams and/or workstreams
- Coordinating input from reward, legal and other SME teams and incorporating their insights into our findings and recommendations
Requirements
- Experience working in HR due diligence, people-related M&A, or a comparable advisory or in-house transaction role.
- A strong understanding of people-related risks and issues in deals – including pensions and reward implications, HR policies, organisational structure and TUPE.
- Ability to assess complex qualitative and quantitative data, distil key risks and opportunities, and formulate recommendations for clients as part of a formal report or discursive sessions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing and delivering client-ready reports and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage workstreams, delegate effectively and lead junior team members to deliver high-quality work.
- Broader experience in integration, separation or transformational change is welcomed but not essential.
