• Partner across KOHO Tech and KOHO Bank to provide practical regulatory advice that enables growth while protecting customers.
• Support the design and launch of new financial products and features, identifying regulatory risks early and helping teams build compliant solutions.
• Play a key role in helping KOHO set up and operationalize a regulated bank, including supporting engagement with regulators such as OSFI, FCAC, and the Bank of Canada.
• Support marketing and growth teams by ensuring campaigns are effective and compliant with financial services and consumer protection requirements.
• Provide guidance to customer-facing teams on complaints handling, communications, and fairness considerations.
• Help build scalable legal and regulatory processes to support KOHO’s long-term growth as a regulated financial institution.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of people managers and individual contributors across all Financial Risk domains.
• Establish and maintain robust decision governance frameworks for key business decisions with Financial Risk impact.
• Provide "effective challenge" on decisions impacting financial risk.
• Oversee and recommend the frameworks for assessing and measuring financial risk appetite.
• Lead governance for financial risk policies including credit policy, across product portfolios.
• Oversee short- and long-term delinquency and loss forecasting.
• Collaborate with Finance and Treasury teams in the development and execution of forecasting frameworks for market and liquidity risk.
• Drive portfolio risk monitoring, reporting, and insight generation.

• Design and document new end-to-end Treasury processes for KOHO Bank, including Asset Liability Management, intraday liquidity, funding strategy, HQLA management, and regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to the development of Treasury models (IRRBB, behavioural modelling, liquidity stress testing) that support both day‑to‑day management and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Risk, Finance, Product, and Data to ensure new bank products are Treasury‑ready from day one – including balance sheet treatment, data flows, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Spearhead the implementation of a new Treasury Management System which will centralize all cash and investment processes across KOHO through both requirement setting and testing.
• Support and enhance existing cash management operations to ensure we are always able to meet settlement obligations and safeguarding of customer funds.
