About the role
- Lead national sales strategy targeting major spirit distributors, beverage retailers, and grocery chains.
- Own go-to-market execution for new beverage products, especially syrups, flavor innovations, and cocktail applications.
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies for beverage and syrup launches.
- Analyze market trends, pricing data, and competitor positioning to shape portfolio strategy.
- Set and track sales targets by category, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Manage relationships with major spirit distributors, retail buyers, and grocery partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional programs to maximize revenue and margin.
- Drive product introductions and display activations with key accounts.
- Develop and execute co-marketing initiatives with spirit and beverage partners.
- Represent the brand at industry trade shows, tastings, and promotional events.
- Cultivate long-term relationships to strengthen category presence and secure recurring business.
- Collaborate with R&D and marketing on flavor profiling, seasonal launches, and cocktail trends.
- Translate consumer insights into product development opportunities and new flavor concepts.
- Provide market feedback to inform innovation and strengthen competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS / BA) required.
- 5+ years of experience in beverage or spirits sales, product management, or brand development.
- Proven success managing national and regional spirit distributors, retail buyers, and grocery chains.
- Existing relationships with key accounts such as Total Wine & More, BevMo, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Costco, and Publix highly preferred.
- Background in syrups, flavors, cocktail innovation, or mixology strongly desired.
- Skilled in negotiation, presentations, CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- 30-60-90-day sales planning experience and proven ability to exceed sales targets.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, with proximity to a major airport preferred.
