About the role
- Review purchase orders, drawings, and specification requirements; negotiate customer requirements and translate requirements to operations
- Maintain compliance of products to customer and specification requirements
- Maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System and related software systems
- Work with Operations, Engineering, and Sales to support customer needs and product throughput
- Interact directly with customers and suppliers
- Develop, maintain and implement quality procedures and work instructions in compliance to customer and specification requirements
- Conduct audits to assure compliance to quality system, processes and schedules
- Ensure customer verification and acceptance completed (FAI, PPAP or pre-production requirements)
- Position reports to the Quality Manager at an investment casting foundry producing aerospace and defense parts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, statistics or related course of study
- 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience
- Experience with ISO9000 / AS9100 or other high compliance standards (defense, aerospace or similar)
- Experience with auditing, including internal and supplier audits, and complying with customer audits
- Must be a US Citizen
- Any experience with investment casting, metal manufacturing & machining, heat treating, or non-destructive testing (NDT) is desired
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PPAP, FMEA or root cause analysis is helpful
