About the role
- Lead the design of semi-complex/complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
- Completing schematics and control panel designs.
- Performing standard professional work and supporting material specification.
- Schematic preparation and bill-of-materials development.
- Follow-up and project risk analysis.
- Collaborate with other divisions and external vendors to plan and execute projects.
- Perform site audits at initiation of project to gather site information.
- Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits.
- Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or as part of a team.
- Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- BS/BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.
- 5+ years of successful experience in related field.
- Proficient in Allen Bradley/Rockwell (expertise is preferred).
- Proficiency with Siemens PLCs is a plus.
- Experience in Scanning Devices using Photo recognition (Scanners) and/or Placement photo eyes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.
- Experience in various types of field device networks (Ethernet IP is a must, Profibus is a plus).
- Basic understanding of UL 508/508A standards for cabinet design.
- Strong problem-solving skills; self-starter; detail-oriented; multitasking.
